Exhibition "Soviet Modernism in Almaty" at the TSE Art Destination gallery in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. Including photos by me and Stefano Perego from our book Soviet Asia and many others. The event is organized by the Italian Embassy in Kazakhstan (October 2021).

Web lecture "Roberto Conte - L'Unione Sovietica dagli anni Venti agli anni Ottanta. Il viaggio di un fotografo tra architettura e paesaggio urbano" focused on Soviet architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan (May 29th 2020), in the courses held by Roberto Dulio.

Two web lectures about the book "Soviet Asia" and Soviet Modernism in Central Asia at the Polytechnic University of Milan (April 7th and 14th 2020), in the courses held by Giulia Setti and Alessandro De Magistris.

Exhibition "ARCHITECTURE. SCULPTURE. REMEMBRANCE. The Art of Monuments of Yugoslavia 1945–1991", including many of my photos of the spomeniks in former Yugoslavia (Mar. 9th-Apr. 16th 2020) at the Dessa Gallery in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The project was organized in collaboration with Architectuul, Bostjan Bugaric and others.

Lecture about the book "Soviet Asia" and Soviet Modernism in Central Asia at EPFL in Lausanne (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), in Switzerland (Fe. 25th 2020). The event is organised by TSAM, EPFL's laboratory focused on the techniques and protection of modern architecture, and Docomomo Switzerland, the Swiss branch of the International Committee for Documentation and Conservation of Buildings, Sites and Neighbourhoods of the Modern Movement.

"Modernistan" exhibition with a selection of pictures of the book "Soviet Asia" at the Mercato Coperto in Trieste, Italy, opening event of the 31st edition of the Trieste Film Festival (Jan. 17th 2020). Here a clip of the event, here a gallery. The events were covered by La Repubblica, Ansa, Artribune, Russia Beyond, Il Piccolo and others. On Jan 17th, the event was followed by an open conference about the book "Soviet Asia", together with the architecture historian Luka Skansi and the exhibition's curator Martina Sciolis.

2019

Exhibition "ARCHITECTURE. SCULPTURE. REMEMBRANCE. The Art of Monuments of Yugoslavia 1945–1991", including many of my photos of the spomeniks in former Yugoslavia (Nov. 23rd-Dec. 20th 2019) at the Piran Days of Architecture organized in Piran, Slovenia by Architectuul, Bostjan Bugaric and others.
Exhibition "Terragni and Golosov: Novocomum in Como — Club Zuev in Moscow. Comparisons and affinities", curated by Alessandro De Magistris and Anna Vyazemtseva and organized by MAARC Museo Virtuale Astrattismo Architettura Razionalista Como, at the important MUAR - Schusev State Museum of Architecture in Moscow, Russia (Sep.-Nov. 2019). The exhibition included 20 of my photos in big format proposing a visual dialogue between Giuseppe Terragni's rationalist Novocomum in Como and Ilya Golosov's constructivist Club Zuev in Moscow.

Exhibition "La Basilica di Siponto di Edoardo Tresoldi. Un racconto tra Rovine, Paesaggio e Luce" at the Fondazione Dino Zoli in Forlì, Italy, including almost 30 photos in big format of the artwork made by Edoardo Tresoldi in Siponto, Italy (Oct. 13th 2018 - Jan. 13th 2019).

Lecture at the Lenin Memorial in Ulyanovsk (Russia) together with an exhibition of photos of Soviet Modernist architectures during "ModUl' - Conference on Soviet Modernism" (Sept. 14-16 2018).

"Secesija - Sloboda Stvaranja" (Art Nouveau - Freedom of Creation), exhibition focused on art nouveau architecture in Belgrade at Karst gallery / Jovan Cvijić Museum in Belgrade, Serbia (May 19th - June 10th 2018), including one of my photos of the House of Radosav Jovanović, by Branko Tanazevic.

Presentation of the Yerevan Architectural Guide (DOM Publishers), in which I wrote a chapter about my view of the city as an urban explorer (including some photos), at the Polytechnic University of Milan (May 9th 2018).

Open lecture "SovMod and ruins" at the House of Architects of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia (December 4th 2017). The event is organized in collaboration with the Nizhny Novgorod section of the Centre of Urban Practices (network of Russian urbanists) and City Expeditions (organizer of urban and architectural excursions in Nizhny Novgorod).
